Today is just another day.....

OKAY, well today is 12 days post surgery. I am really really bored. Tomorrow I go back to the doctor for my post surgical visit. I am hoping he takes off this temporary cast, removes the stitches, and puts me in a walking boot. I am not too hopeful, because I fell yesterday and landed on my foot and it was incredibly painful! I am not too sure it is ready to be walked on. I have been invited to a BINGO candle party tonight and I will go if I can get someone to go with me (since I can't drive). Amanda begrudgeingly agreed to go, but didn't sound overly enthusiastic about it. (Meaning if something better comes along, she will dump me in a heart beat)
We got carpet put in the house today. It looks really nice, and I am very happy with it. Next 2 major purchases are a new bed, and a wii. Okay, signing off for now.

Day 9 post surgery....

Okay it's Saturday. I am laying on the couch playing on the computer trying to find something to watch on tv. No luck...hundreds of channels and nothing good on. On a normal Saturday I would be out and about, shopping, getting groceries, etc. I am soooo bored. Amanda went to Chili's to get us lunch, and Scott is working today. Tomorrow the family (my side) is coming to do Christmas at my house. All I can do is look around and see all the things that I should be doing but can't. I notice everything...everything out of place. On tv right now is a commerical for the Bedazzler. Are you kidding me? Do people over the age of 12 really want to add rhinestones to their clothes? Surely not. Wow, I am rambling.

Figuring this out

Okay I think I am getting the hang of this...tomorrow I will try and master loading pictures. Laugh if you want to....anyway this is pretty cool...I'll try and find some friends and add them too. Later!

This is my life

Well...all my friends seem to be blogging so I thought....why not? What better time to blog than when I am stuck on the couch after surgery! I had surgery on my foot to do some repair work after a softball injury. My husband tried to warn me that I was too old to play softball! I guess he was right. I am trying really hard to be a good patient, I can't put any weight on my right foot at all so I am on crutches. I am not terribly coordinated, so too bad for me, I have already fallen once.

Christmas was great this year. We spent some time at Scott's parents house, then went to the Christmas Eve service at our church which was fascinating, inspiring, and just plain awesome! We spent a quiet Christmas at home with Amanda, Scott, Ryan and Monica, and my friend Sarah. Our friends Michelle and Jeff stopped by to visit (since I can't go anywhere) and Amanda went to the movies with Kelsei and Eric to see "Marley and Me" We had a great time!
